This soccer season has been super busy, between practice two times a week and a game once a week; I feel like between school, homework, multiple illness’, and soccer, my life has been consumed since the school year began! Tonight is Jacob’s team’s tournament game; “Go White Knights!” If they win tonight, then they will play again on Saturday. While I will be cheering them on, I am looking forward to life slowing down just a bit! 🙂 Although I look forward to a slower pace, I have appreciated the life lessons that Jacob will take away from this soccer season!
Along with valuable life lessons for Jacob, I have appreciated meeting the nicest moms. We have laughed together, complained (sadly, yes), cheered, and encouraged our boys. Some of us have even spent time after practice teaching the kids some different soccer moves (No, not me, I have no idea how to play). It has just been nice to look forward to spending time with other moms who are supportive, kind, and encouraging!
So the other morning when I was dropping Jacob and Caden off at school, in my “Mombie” state, and not quite ready for the day (hello lounge pants and shirt), I heard a “Hi, Adrian!” As I turned around, I saw one of the ladies I have become friends with at soccer. I was a bit embarrassed about my sloppy appearance, but then I realized she probably did not care and was likely wearing a similar outfit! 🙂
It is always nice when you feel supported!
